It's come as a nice surprise that it looks as good as it does. Even the wife commented on it and she's extremely baby focused at the moment.
Lol ... There is one big issue raising it's ugly head though. How do I match it for the other buildings that are not Admec?
The Zone Mortallis boards will be in a similar style so not worried about them. It's the other ones which are now going to push my hobbyfoo. It's really got me a bit stumped unless I use the grating stuff on all the buildings but not have the exposed pipe work underneath?
In GWS terminology I've got to work out the flooring for few buildings made from the "Sanctum Imperialis" and "Basilica Administratum" kits. The Admec style buildings are made from the "Manufactorum" kit.
Think I need some advice/ideas from you guys so I don't mess up the rest of them!

How do I match it for the other buildings that are not Admec? I think I'm too tired to get your post at the moment, but how do you mean match? In terms of the level of detail, or the design? Or do you mean something completely else?

I was referring to the level of detail/finish on the other boards, so when they're on the table next to the Admec ones they will look just as good.
Think it was a bit of a fluke that the Admec ones worked how they did.

Oh, level of detail. That's easy. I mean, for me. I'm just doing the intellectual work. You're the one who gets to implement it. As far as floors are concerned, let's just assume you don't want to go to the trouble of making a full blown mosaic, a flagstone aquila would look cool. If you think the shape is till too much work, you could go with the "I" sysmbol the Imperium loves so much. Doesn't have to be Inquisition, the Ecclesiarchy uses an "I", too. Or the Adeptus Astra Telepathica. That should give you a bit of floor detailing right there. Then think of the purpose of the building. If it's a shrine, make a (perhaps smashed) altar and pews. If you think the pews get in the way of model placement, have them stacked in a corner with only a bit of broken wood littering the floor. Or for an administrative building you could put some models on a plinth. Think scribes as Administratum statues and Guardsmen for a Guard recruiting center. Speaking of plinths, you can always just put pillars, intact and smashed, in your buildings for some extra detail. Book cases and books are the Administratum equivalent of pews. Or scrolls. Want a spot of color? Rugs and tapestries are for you. you can have themwith bullet holes in them, burned up or if you are feeling artsy, intact with something Imperial painted on them They can hang/lay straight, the can be rolled up, there's a lot of diversity in the shapes you can make. If you want an active warzone, stacks of ammo crates, barrels and such won't go amiss. Or the battered variety that litters the place after it got hit by artillery or something. If you have leftover plastic undead, a couple of buried dead don't go amiss. Whether it's civilians caught by surprise during the first fighting or just some poor guy who died of old age waiting in line, dead people always make fine additions. "Chaos was here". Graffiti can brighten a place up. If you think cultists are cool, and fancy dead people, you could make a ritual site inside a captured building. Got vehicle parts left over? Looks like someone got drunk/came under fire and smashed through that wall over there. Now his wrecked ride is half parked inside the building.

Maybe I'll do some inlaid details using thin card rather than a full blown mosaic. Then think of the purpose of the building. If it's a shrine, make a (perhaps smashed) altar and pews. So many things to try out there I think the columns and maybe the odd statue may end up being used. In fact I may have some I was going to use for a graveyard for my WHFB scenery. I was planning on keeping the central bits clear so they can easily be played on rather than a display piece. So I may have to limit the amount of stuff knocking around on the floor. Though in a war zone I guess anything not nailed down would be dragged off to build shelter or shore up an improvised barricade.

Finally got some more paint onto the mounting board: It's looking a bit clean but I'm not worried about it as it's a gaming piece rather than display. Though it's now making me want to make some intact pieces as well like an Arbite Block House. Hoping to get a chunk of the building painted in the morning.

It's looking a bit clean but I'm not worried about it as it's a gaming piece rather than display. You could always wait until you have all terrain pieces finished and see how they look together. And if the need tying together, you can weather them the same way.

And if the need tying together, you can weather them the same way. Good idea. I'll crack on with the painting up of the ruin and worry about that later. Managed to get the 2 halves of the ruin sprayed before it started raining again. Tried out one paint job the 1st half and messed it up. So need to respray that half. The larger half is slowly coming together. I think it's going to be an all metal paint job on the Admec buildings.

There's a decent pile of A1 foam board in the hobby room and I'm slowly collecting the bits I'll need to build up the details I want on them. The wife has quickly got fed up of the building mess so I've been instructed to tidy up the hobby room. So I take this as instructions to crack on with building some more scenery. After all she couldn't mean throw it out!?!?!?
Lol ... So expect a bit of movement on the scenery side of things soon or come find me mourning the loss of building material.

Went to buy some more of the mats that I make the mesh detail out of and they've been discontinued. Now on the hunt for similar cheap options to cover recessed bits. I've got enough to keep me going for a while. Trying to work out how to use off cuts of foam board to reduce wastage and if I do a few thinner recessed bits I'll be able to use the off cuts around them. Just waiting a resuply of textured plasticard so I can continue building. This time I'm going to be casting up bits made out of the sheets so in the long run it'll work out cheaper. I've also spotted some of those flickering tea lights you can make fire/smoke markers with. So might try playing around with them at some point as well.
