Been a while as I have had a rather dodgy time of it since 1 April, "out of work", out of money and not sure what was happening! Depression, stress and frustration all contributed to a really bad time of it for a while there! Weight fluctuated rather a lot and went up a bit (read back to 20 st 7lbs again!) due to comfort eating etc! Back at work in a new job/position now and enjoying it again! Hard work though (and less money but hey, you take what you can get!) And this morning's "Saturday weigh in" showed back to 20 stone 2 lbs! Back on the slow loss gig again!

Bummer you earn less money, but as you said, you take what you get and at least you are enjoying it. Always good to hear good news!

Well it seems I've put on plenty of weight and lost over an inch in height.
Think I may be the heaviest on here now being the wrong side of 21 stone! Been stressed with work, money and family life. Not sleeping and eating at completely the wrong times.
No joking about the height either. Not had an official set of measurements taken at the docs for a long time. About 12 or 13 years ago I was just over 6'4", I'm now 6'2" and a bit. Seems I've done a lot of damage to my back over the years with 2 falls, getting crushed by one of my glass fronted cabinets and work seating not being set up right for my height. Lol ... And being excessively obese isn't helping.
Just had another of my uncles have to go in for heart surgery due to heart attacks.
I don't even drink that much. Last drinking session was last October with u lot. I consumed more in that weekend than I've had in the 7-8 months since then. For me it's pastries, pies, cakes, bread, fizzy drinks, biscuits, chocolate, fry-ups, chips, takeout, coffee with lots of sugar ... Think it's about time I take responsibility for my actions. It's me eating/drinking way too many calories. Just worked out my approximate calorie intake over the weekend and it's a bit shocking. I'd have been better off heavily drinking all weekend.
I need a serious kick up the arse ... So lads if you'll form an orderly queue!

I'll bring my steel toe caps.
Although I'm single handedly responsible for destroying most people's diets a week or so ago so I shouldn't really comment ;-)

You need a once in a while outlet just to keep motivated.

Steve I feel your pain mate and I know where you're coming from, sadly I have virtually no motivation at all now for losing weight. I need to and I want to but I just can't get it done. Shame we didn't live a bit nearer each other we could motivate each other with regular ass kicking for each other lol

Hehe! I put on 6 lbs over the Mini-eat-meat-Meet! But 20+ pints of Strawberry Blonde and about a stone in weight of meat will do that I guess! LOL Been very busy since then though, 8 days on the bounce of about 9 hours each day will do that for you. Lost about 5 lbs again now, so back to 20st 3lbs this morning. Hope to get down under 20 st in a week or two. Very, very hard to lose weight, my advice, never put it on in the first place! Great advice I know, but waaay too late for some of us!

Stretch - I'm already regretting my big gob. @fk - think we need to meet up at some point see for a chin wag and a game @bob - I've not been on that much of late and didn't realise you've been through the mangler job wise. Hope everything stabilises out and the new job works out! Tried weighing myself this morning and found the scales are now broken. I reckon the lads have been jumping on them, but the wife's convinced it's my fat arse that's killed them. Trying to resist the temptation to fill my face. I'm also wanting to be more active. Had to give up the allotment but not giving up growing food so I've got the old tools out and made a raised bed in the front garden this week. Managed to get it painted/stained before the sky opened with rain on Thursday. Just need a dry day to line it with plastic and then move a fair bit of earth to fill it up. Also started sorting out the plaster work in the front room. The aim is to keep active and get the jobs on the house done at the same time. Bit like sorting out my own body the house needs a lot of work doing on it.

I'm guessing an MTB isn't a Motor Torpedo Boat then?

yeah mountain bike. Feck knows why everyone calls it a mtb. Maybe it's the image of people riding round on board games if it was just mb.
