Woot! I stepped on the scales this morning and I'm at 249 pounds. I know a two pound drop doesn't sound like much but this is the first time I've been under 250 in a looong time! I'm jazzed to get off the other 9 pounds and get to my target weight of 240. I know that's not a huge drop in weight but considering that this time a year ago I was pushing 280, I'll take it!

Slow and steady is the safest and healthiest way mate. If you crash diet it off you tend to swing back the opposite way and gain twice as much straight after.
Nice work. Keep it up

another week gone by. So come on folks, it's time to terrify those scales into submission.
Started this at 15st 2lbs. Now 14st 10lbs. So that is 6 pounds lost overall, another 2 since last week.
Hope your all doing well in your efforts, remember your weight will fluctuate now and again so dont get disheartened when it doesnt go 'right'. Your in there, your trying and thats a lot more than some people do, keep at it, keep up the healthier eating and get out there and take life by the horns.

Well that was nice Weigh in this morning, I am now 15 stone 10 and 1/2lb for a total loss of 8 and 1/2lb! Really happy with it so far, combination of taking things slowly and steadily/ not starving myself or denying myself treats and, just as importantly the motivation from you guys doing it as well is really working so thanks to all taking part and let's keep up the good work! Now that the January madness is over (I finished gone midnight last night! ) and the last "food to keep me awake" has been consumed (really good curry when I got in from the office at 10:45 last night before I started work again ) I thought I'd check what the damage was that I'd done this week! 20 st 12 lbs again this morning! So, I was right, absolutely pointless me starting before February as I am now right back where I was on January 1st! Oh well, "Onwards and Sideways!", starting again as of now chaps!

Onward and upwards indeed Bob, good to have you on board! I put 2lb back on over a few days last week but that has since come off again, I'm thinking that my coming Monday `weekly weigh in` may just tell me I'm the same as last week but still, it's going down gradually...

OK Mate, we'll have a starting point together eh? As I'll be "re-starting" my efforts! Hopefully I will lose a pound or two over the weekend anyway!

So I went shopping yesterday to get the supplies for the diet, shouldn't have gone shopping exhausted and fed up from waiting an hour in traffic.... I ended up with 6 bars of chocolate, 2 big bags of peanuts and 2 packets of chocolate biscuits! D' oh! Still, it'll be one of the most fun diets I've ever been on! LOL

Ended up getting on the scales this morning and I'm weighing in at 20 stone, 3 lbs and 8 ounces or 128.593kg. Think I'm about 1.5 - 2 stone heavier than I was at the Euromeet.
Hmmm ... So with a height of 6' 4" that makes my BMI 34.5 or obese.
Starting the diet tomorrow ... The wife's done pancakes and syrup for breakfast this morning.
