So what do we all think then. 1 big weigh in by everyone taking part? Get everyones weights in tomorrow morning for a starting point? Then have a weekly/fortnightly/monthly update?

I think tomorrow being the start of a fresh week is a good time to get a weigh in from everyone who is taking part. I am going to bravely step onto the scales in the morning and see what the bad news is and then post weekly updates of my weight after. Everyone else gonna do the same?

I'm game. However whilst I still have "naughty" food in the house and am unable to exercise to any real extent, I don't forsee any major progress, but we'll see. The first half stone water weight is generally very easy, it's the plateau thereafter that's difficult to beat.

Good on you Bob, if we lived closer I'd get you exercising with the help of some of my physiotherapist friends, now there's an offer you couldn't refuse! Seriously though, it'll probably do us all good having the motivation of others on here to keep going and any loss is better than no loss right? Also, have we got Terry on board for this? I haven't seen his name on this thread and he's the reason the whole thing got started so he has to be here! Let me go grab him on facebook... FK

I'm in! Will weigh myself in the morning. Last time I checked, I was about 254 lb. Not too sure what a stone is... :scratch:My goal is to get back down to 240. Moe importantly, I want to change my eating habits and increase my physical activity.

I'm in... I'm not sure what size stones you guys are using but I weighed in at one of the stones I put in the back yard this summer.

I'll weigh myself when I get home today. Don't want to speculate mine right now though, frankly I don't need to lose weight just need to get rid of the gut that's developed...

Well weighed in at the gym today. 15st 2lbs. Got the induction done with an instructor who knows me from previous memberships.
And oh god has he remembered me....no gentle easing back into life at the gym for me. 1k rowing, 15 minutes of jogging up the side of a mountain (incline 8 on a treadmill) the 3 sets of circuit weights...and thats just for starters as the rest of my routine gets added at my next visit on wednesday.
On the plus side i covered off the problems i had with motivation in previous years. Hopefully a single personal training session each month will help keep the motivation up and weight down.

A mistake is being made tonight. I am mixing large glasses of southern comfort with lemonade, into a search for songs for a gym workout mix. This all less than 8 hours before i have to be at work. But hey, good music drives that push to burn calories in the gym.
