Update time! Look who's back: So after spending time painting, I'm focusing on modeling again. In addition to assembling some Marines and Dark Elves, I went back to sculpting the Inquisitor. I started on the belt and items it holds, and the power plant on the back. For the latter I'm going with a customized Cataphractii look that incorporated the vents in the style of Indomitus armor. Also a WIP picture of the church: Progress is slow because of the aforementioned switch of focus, but I'll go back to painting it in time, I think. Currently I'm thinking this is the look I like with whitewashed boards and brown roof tiles. I'm not sure about the stone wall yet. More greyish or yellowish stone?

Update time! Black Guard: Took four weeks from sprue to finished models. I hate batch painting. One noteworthy thing about taking so long: I'm very much in the mood for Fallout again. The fact is, I mostly painted the church because painting the elves got so dull I needed a break.

They look pretty cool, I find painting realistic flesh really hard.

Thank you. I definitely agree. I took me ages to finally figure out a way to paint skin to a standard I'm happy with, and I'm still not sure I can pull it off consistently.

Update time! I've actually done it! here are the last of the Wastelanders, Lynn and Amber: With them, the gang is completely painted. Now obviously, no gang used in a campaign with the ability to hire new models is complete as the campaign is ongoing, but the starting models are all there: After this it's a handful of assorted models. I've also started work on the second terrain piece, a house with backyard. Work on it progresses slowly as I'm making up my mind how exactly to compose the piece.

Update time! I painted my second pit fighter, Sam: "Group" photo. It's only two for the time being, but eventually there should be more: So, I have enough pit fighters for a fight, but I still need a pit. I'm currently working on the farmstead, so that is still a while off, but I'm already contemplating a couple of designs. Not sure yet what's practical. Maybe I should write a couple of rules to see what I need from a terrain piece.
