Thank you. I think you're going to have to enjoy the view a little while longer, though. The back torso is a stand in right now to get the proportions on the front right. I will not likely go back to it until the front is reasonably finished (which includes the face) and the frame around the legs is done (unlike the Cataphractii, I'm going with Indomitus legs for the back). After that I'll worry about the back. I mean to replicate the Cataphractii power plant to a large degree. I don't think that fits with the current setup of the back all that great.

Update time! Manus, I hope any issues of sagginess have been resolved to your satisfaction: It should be said I'll reserve the right to go back to anything that's done. Some spots are still pretty rough, but I need a frame of reference for everything, so I am quite happy to get stuff sculpted without a smooth finish in order to see how I should advance from there. The face has been sculpted separately on a piece of plasticard and transplanted today, so there's still some work ahead. I think it's the best face I sculpted to date. The rigid surface I sculpted on certainly helped to get it to look right. I'm happy with how the armor shapes up. The real test will be adding the front armor on the legs. It should elevate them above the sculpted parts in a big way, getting a clear divide between sculpted armor and armor plates. Once that is done, and it will entail some detailing on the legs as the chest (it's Imperial chest armor, so it needs an aquila, obviously), I'll be able to bend the arms into their final position and get started on them. Although I may need to get the back of the torso done to some degree for that, which requires a completed head.

The face is great - sagginess resolved, though the anatomical correctness is still slightly disturbing

Thanks, Manus. Not sure what's disturbing about looking naked while wearing Terminator armor, though.

Update time! WIP thigh plate on her right, her left one's done. There hasn't been much progress on the head because I need half an hour of uninterrupted sunshine to get things right. I'm also not in too much of a hurry because I'm not quite sure yet on the design of the torso armor behind her head. I'll probably do the leg decoration first and then match the torso to it.

Update time! The legs are in a good place right now and so is the face. I'm not sure yet on exactly which decorations to add, but I can probably proceed to the back of the torso and the left arm soon.

Keep up with the good work.

Thanks, guys. Update time! The arms are finally getting some work. I found that without the shoulders, I can't work on the back assembly since the power plant is so integrated into the torso. Currently I'm wondering what to do with her hair. Her previous incarnations used to have hair, but having long hair is terribly inconvenient if you intend to wear armor with a sealed helmet. I may actually leave her head the way it is.

Update time! Today with a bit of color, even! But first things first. Progress: It took a month to paint, but here's my shiny new Canoness: I didn't change much from my original Battle Sisters color scheme, but refined it a little since I kind of gained a little painting skill in the last fifteen years. The big change really is the two-sided cloth as the original ones lacked a bit in color. Adding red, which I already had on Repentias but not normal Sisters, was the obvious fix.

Very nice - I like your choice of colors so much better than the ones from GW! And the base is very cool too. Do the other bases of your Sisters of Battle also feature such grizzly (and well executed) pools of blood?

Thank you. Honestly? My other Sisters don't feature much of anything. I have maybe eighty models, but I hate metal, so they never got painted except for a handful for the purpose of testing the color scheme. However, the blood and skulls daemon world basing is my got to basing in 40k, so any models specifically for 40k get that lovely treatment. The Canoness is a hybrid in that my choice for 30k is a plain sculpted cityscape bases from GW. I thought it would be neat to try and gore it up a little, since she came with the requisite skulls already anyway. Not that Sisters have any business in 30k, but I will use my 30k Imperial Fists that are currently in planning in 40k, too. Update time! The usual progress first: As you can see, work has started on the back assembly. The real fun starts when I get to the reactor on the back. I also found my attention wandering back to Fallout, and would very much like to start work on One-Oh-One again: Also, I'm working on a Necromantic Horror Blood Bowl team. Since I like Tomb Kings, they get a Nehekharan theme. A Wight: I used an Ushabti head on a Tomb Guard body because I don't like the original bobble head. So much wasted potential on the Tomb Guard kit. What a shame, it could have been so much more. Flesh Golem WIP:

Cool - the termothernater really starting to take shape now. Wolfy is a very good sculpt, very crisp.

Thanks. This is actually the phase I've not been looking forward to at all. I don't like the high back of Terminators when the shoulder pads aren't yet attached. They massively contribute to the finished look, so the less time I spent between now and at least putting on the left shoulder pad, the better. Wolfy is a very good sculpt, very crisp. It should be. GW didn't sell Ushabti for cheap, when they still sold them.
