Yeah, I thought long and hard about that, but ultimately, it says it all eh? Even if technically it isn't a hill!

look`s like you where about to have a great game, and a lot of nicely painted figures you have there to play with. like the set up Bob, think a few horses would be a great addition to your games and prob the odd wagon.

Thanks guys. A few horses may make an appearance soon Tony, just the rules are pretty vague and entail the whole gang getting horses, then you're stumped for finding minis that look the same as your foot sloggers to use on the horses! But it will probably happen at some stage. Yeah Zog, you know me, my OCD "All or nothing" hobby habit! Plus nothing much else to do with my life, so why not? I have sufficient painted gangs to choose from now, Lawmen Pinkertons Cowboys Banditos Renegade Indians 7th Cavalry Plus I can make up Desperados or Citizens gangs from the figures I have, and I have an Outlaws gang under-coated and ready to be painted too. I still feel the need for some more buildings though, probably some sort of small domestic housing or something for the outskirts of town and maybe a few small ranch style houses for the farmer types! Need to re-do some old desert style rock formations that out club has had for years, which are a bit battered (to say the least) and maybe some cactus style scenery too, just for flavour. Maybe some tumble weed stands too, who knows? Had anyone else here played this or similar Wild West games? And would anybody be interested ion a game if we can arrange a get together sometime? I'd supply the scenery (and gangs if necessary) as I'd just borrow the (now 3) archive boxes of buildings from the club! HG

Bob think i`ve unstumped your horse thing (well at least for some of them), i have been nosing round the net and have come across this site. www.dixon-minis.com/shop/old-west-25mmYou may already know about it, but just in case you had not i thought i would post the link. I have had a good look and like the look of the figures they have on show, and there are some guy`s on horse back who look like your "Pinkerton`s" and possible Cowboys / Bandidos. The Pinkerton look alike`s are called "Dusters", and taking a second look there are "Bandido" horsemen. I`m looking at getting some for my birthday, just not sure which ones to go for first. They also have a section for "Wagon`s", and i see a few of them coming my way. Hope this help`s out Bob....... Would like to have a few games with you, maybe at the next mini meet or a later one. Doom....

So are these the same scale as 40k models. Thinking of necromunda models in particular.
The underhive has a lot of the Wild West theme to it.

But it will probably happen at some stage. Can I have mine riding cows? (cowboyz - hur hur) Need to re-do some old desert style rock formations that out club has had for years, which are a bit battered (to say the least) and maybe some cactus style scenery too, just for flavour. Maybe some tumble weed stands too, who knows? HG Found these and these though they might work out a bit expensive depending on how much you need

Steve they are true scale and not heroic mate, and 40k minis would look ridiculous next to them I think. I'll get some pics and show you later if I can. Alan, they can ride anything you can model mate! Although Orks, even 2nd Ed, would look ridiculously big compared with the GEG mins!

Alan, they can ride anything you can model mate! This to the bloke who's modelling a WAAAGH Hound? Although Orks, even 2nd Ed, would look ridiculously big compared with the GEG mins! Funnily enough I built the first one to be about the same size as an RT lead weirdboy - shame I didn't notice 'til after I'd built him that the weirdboy was wearing a zog off great big hat Still, thinking of calling him 'Big & Daft' because the biggest wire I can fit down the barrel of his gun is 0.6mm, times 56 = 33.6mm - dat ain't no rifle, dat's a kannon! Are the ones you've got 28mm from soles to scalp or 28mm including hats?

Might still try out the rules using Necromunda models and scenery. Need an excuse to get my creative juices flowing once more (and your scenery makes me want to create some form of futuristic homestead).

LOL go for it mate. Alan 28mm soles to scalp, with hats often closer to 30+mm.

New building for the club, a combined ticket office and waiting room, works for either a Stage Coach Halt or a Railway Station (or both) depending what's on the table. Separate secure ticket office and open ended waiting room plus an outside bench with canopy. Plus an adobe roof balcony with stairs, I miscalculated the top of the stairs and the balcony entrance, but can;t be bothered to try and fix it, it's only a scenery piece after all! LOL C&C welcome as always. HG
