Sheesh! I'm mainly focusing on my infestation of walking dead (see elsewhere), but now you've asked for it, here's where I'm at right now, Chaoswise: Exhaust pipes on their way (right now mounted for painting). Straight out of the box, only a little GS added on.

Glad to hear it, Manus. Here's a little more progress - the exhausts are done (but I might give them a little black soot around the top), and the arms and shoulder pads are on their way:

Nice. I like the exhausts, but I think you should definitely go with the black soot idea.

Okay, time for an update on the latest progress. Yesterday it was raining cats and dogs, so I stayed inside with a good podcast, a knife and a pot of glue - and here's the result: They are going to be my unit of Plague Zombies to accompany Typhus and are basically a lovely set of 20 minis from Mantic games, modified with GW bits (Cadians and zombies) and a little green stuff. They are ready for the spray can and might be where my attention shifts next (but who am I to know?) I have also promised Geifer photos of my idea of a Forgefiend, so this is where I am right now (strictly a mock up!): There's quite a long way to go yet, using lots of tubes, pustules, trimming and general nastiness. I'll keep you posted once something starts to happen, but don't hold your breath. The basic model is a Sturmkönig for Dust which I modify by using left over bits from my Maulerfiend. Obviously, the legs will be attached so the body lifts off the ground, and only one of the cannons have been tinkered with to any extent. I'm very interested in hearing suggestions for how to handle the model as you all helped me quite a bit on my first Rhino.

Good stuff. That there thingy has potential. You'll also have to post a scale comparison with another Chaos vehicle, please. I'm terrible at judging how it would fit in with the other models without seeing a picture. I'm very interested in hearing suggestions for how to handle the model as you all helped me quite a bit on my first Rhino. Hello Kitty motifs for the empty areas. No question.

The Zombies are very cool and pretty dynamic - from what I can tell they are not "overly nurgly" and should go well with the "dry" look of your army. Also, I am really looking forward to seeing more of your Forgefiend. The GW original Model is sooo lame and imbalanced for an actually pretty cool concept. Similar to some of the newer Tyranids they sometimes just don't "get it right"...
