Yeah, I do know that stuff. Not sure where to get it from round here though. I'll see how this first attempt goes too, since I've all the bits out

Instead of foam board I would advise using isolation foam (sometimes called pink foam, though can be yellow as well). Foam board is great for walls. But for rocks, stones, hills, boulders, and things like your temple pink foam is the better choice I think. You can easily cut small gaps in the foam so it looks like they are individual stones. The best option but difficult to get around here (where me and Paul live) I Have a hot wire cutter if you find any Paul.

Reminds me of the fact I really need to show off my own scenery too. This year I made 10 pieces of jungle terrain (completely finished), 10 pieces of dessert terrain (1 finished, 9 WIP), and 11 pieces of fantasy terrain (all still WIP). I even won two first places in a terrain competition.
Learned a lot about making scenery this year, and really enjoy it. I hope you guys will enjoy it as much!!

Well last night I tried version one. Pinning and PVA. Only the first wall, but it seems to be holding quite well. Tonight I plan on doing the other 3 for the top layer of the temple at least. Not going to rush this stage though, want to make sure it's solidly dry before sticking the layers together.

Glued the first two layers. So far they've dried solidly. Hopefully do the last layer tomorrow and glue them all together!

Looking forward to seeing how this looks. Any chance of some WIP pic's?

If I get what I want to do done tonight I'll try and take a photo then. As it'll be basically built minus the final base.

All layers glued, the top two together. Everything still drying though. Some scouts for scale!

I'm going to be looking at a soft start to my army, for two reasons: 1. I'm still unsure how I'll paint them so be a bit experimental. 2. Zog hasn't got any Lizardmen GW stuff yet, and want to get the bigger stuff from him!
That means my first month will be: Skink Priest £12 Saurus Oldblood £9 Total £21 £9 left over
Hopefully means that I'll work longer on these guys to figure out the scheme along with potentially a quick way for the regiments.

That looks good BUT can I suggest one further step? # If you can get Polyfilla or Tetrion household fillers, it may be an idea to give the temple a light coat of texture. It would fill the gaps and if you are careful, you could mark on bricks/stones/icons. Just a suggestion but I think it would help to make the end product really 'pop'

Well was planning on mixing sand into the base coat for just that reason. Give it an all over stone effect.
