Its probably best to point out here. That the initial army idea has now changed 3 times. It was going to be orcs, then ogres.
But the reality is that with all financial considerations, and also wanting to clear some of the plastic backlog. I am settling on High Elves.
I will update the topic in a mo with a new post listing the intended army. But suffice to say, all posts between this one and the first of my High Elf list posts, are now pretty much null and void.
Happy gaming all.

It was a close run thing between gobbos and rats. But gobbos just edged it for me. Fanatics have always been a fantastic model.

Working on colours for my army as well and coming up with a blank. Don't fancy the black colour scheme normally associated with Night Goblins.

Im going with purple robes, maybe a check/dagger pattern in black/white around the hood and grey cave bases. Want to keep the pallet limited if i can. Gonna try and keep any spiders natural looking along with the wolves.

Ok i am working on a spare test model at the moment. If it comes off well then i will post pics up on here. If i can actually make a decent job of the model, there will be one downside...the goblins will not be the army of choice.

The advantage of spending a few months working out your army before throwing all your effort is you can do a major change in direction. Looking forward to seeing what direction you're heading in.

Send me a PM with your address and I'll rummage up a few Lizardmen models. Will be really old plastics armed wrong for the current rules but for fine for working out paint schemes, might need stripping.

A little work done on the 'mystery model'. Happy with the progress so far. But the highlighting is being done tomorrow on the troublesome part. Then painting the rest of the model. If it carries on this well, an army change will be on the books.

Well the projects growing somewhat. Literally! Those little sneaky goblins have been at the steroids and developed into fully fledged ogres. Having won my battle with painting flesh, i want to push on and improve my technique. So getting an army and getting the challenge to improve, in one swift swoop is too much to resist.
Get in ma belleh

Payday and that means a raid on GW Norwich for the army book. I must behave though as i am as itchy as an itchy thing to get started....Must resist!
Feeling pretty excited about getting stuck into this now. Got ideas for scenery..kind of...bouncing about my head and ideas for the army. Been trying to play nice with the ideas for the list as i don't want Carols experience of fantasy battle, to start with a 'oh my god it's impossible'. But then i look over her army list and see 2 caskets of souls and 2 warsphinx's and figure...Im worried about the dirty list!!!! Ha
