So it's taken a couple of days and all in about 6 hours to complete this model. A fair bit of trial and error along the way. But in doing so i have faced my biggest painting weakness. Flesh. Something i have always struggled with. I am overall very happy with the model, but as always open to feedback and tips. With this model complete though, i think its safe to say i will be going Ogre Kingdoms for my 'Tale of fantasy gamers' project. Here's some pics.

Practice makes perfect and that is looking great so far! Leave those painting fears behind and embrace your newly found flesh painting skills!! FK

Someone slap me please. I am not reknowned for being happy with my painting. Very rarely will i compare it to another painters work, let alone rate it higher. So the idea that i would look through white dwarf and mutter the words 'i think my ogres skin is better than that' is pretty much bordering on hysterical.
But that is exactly what happened when i got my copy of white dwarf today. After prising it out from under my dogs paws, i merrily flicked through 50+ pages of adverts, a sketch report and other assorted articles....(i always enjoy Jeremy Vetock's stuff and its one of my must reads) and stumbled into paint splatter. Then i mumbled those words.
I think i need to go for a lay down.
