Hi there I selected this corner of the internet to document the progress on my Genestealer Cult - the "Childern of the Skymother"*. It's an extension of my Tyranid army (Hive Fleet Yersinia). And I am currently expanding it while playing a narrative campaign (30K) with a friend. We only just started and played the 4th Edition equivalent of Kill Team as an opening game. As the battle-report (in German, but here are some very nice pictures of new, commissioned table: link) reveals, my troops were defeated. Yet they are already planning revenge... This is what I have so far: Commissar - Nikolaj Korsof Brother Nico - Her Strongest Arm Corrupted Company Commander - Father Mendelian Priest - Her Voice Astropath - Speaker of Her Will Primaris Psyker - Her Will Manifested * This name has probably been used previously by a famous Tyranid / Genestealer Cult converter / painter, I think originally by the infamous Hydra or someone else at the warpshadow forum. I liked it so much that I decided that my Cult would also worship the Tyranids as a godlike female being that will grant its followers some sort of apotheosis once "She" arrives...

Thank you for your kind comments! Here are some new things that I painted over the last weeks. The Tauros was rather annoying to assemble and paint. I usually completely build the models before painting them and of course sometimes regret it. But with this one reaching certain areas was especially difficult. Ah well, if I can’t reach some spots with my brush they will likely not be seen on the gaming table… The Limo will also be used as a Tauros - a swift but very lightly armoured vehicle with fitting special rules such as Scout or Galvanic Motors. It features magnetized lamp-slots and can be equipped with both weapon-options: a Tauros grenade launcher or a heavy flamer. Tauros Tauros & Limo The Limo

Uuuuh, love the limo. You have chosen a great colour scheme, and it´s great to see names of central characters - it hints at a narrative and gives depth to the minis. I'm looking forward to seeing more from your hands.

Thanks - I mostly paint & convert at a very basic level. Yet by picking practical color-combinations the models look surprisingly good at "tabletop distance". But on such closeup pictures you can easily see that there would be a lot of room for improvement... Manus: The cars are cast in a very good quality and are indeed very, very nice models. Also shipment was quick and the prices are reasonable. Some of the models feature a very thin superstructure on the surface - as you can see on the hood. This doesn't bother me but a perfectionist might want to sand it down before painting. And: Nice to see some your minis on Faeit 212. Thanks! Indeed, we are playing our next thematic battle (Kill Team, current Edition. i.e. 200 points) tomorrow: Genetically "tyranidified" guardsmen (Elysian D-99 with WS and I 4) vs 30K Alpha Legion Marines.

Here is the latest from my Children... Unfortunately the Children suffered another bitter defeat at the hands of the Alpha Legion. Battle report incl. pictures of my table at home can be found here: LinkIn order to fight back The Skymother has decreed that more of Her Children shall take up arms! Her Youngest Offspring (rather old Void Miniatures with a nice touch of the marines from the Aliens movie) Aunt Agathe - Her Matron (made with the awesome Editor from Heroforge, the quality of the miniatures was unfortunately rather disappointing) Child with grenade launcher Uncle Vito - Her Caretaker

Pity about the quality of Agatha, because the idea in her is obviously good. Ding-ding, scratch-building time... I also like the retro look of the Alienesque soldiers, although time does tell.

Nice models.
Can you elaborate on the Heroforge quality issues? Looks like the model detail is a bit flat, especially looking at the hand.

Well, I ordered two Miniatures and both were somewhat "grainy", their surface is just not smooth enough. On the other hand I was positively surpriesed how much the facial expression that I chose in the editor actually was retained on the miniatures. You can not really see it on the picture, but I wanted the Matron to smile wickedly - which she does. The first ones from a shabby "sale box" in a local Swiss miniatures store. Some more are from eBay. And I just recently ordered a few more from over there: Scotia Grendel
I also ordered some "old school" scenery from them that I will sooner (or rather later) will show here...

Really liking these. There's a nice feel to the models you've chosen along with the simple but effective paint scheme which brings everything together. That car just finishes it off nicely.

Lovely sculpt, but you can definitely feel the surface structure. That's annoying one something organic.
