I've managed to trade some bits with a mate and in return he's getting me some FW stuff including a 5 man squad of the new Iron Hands which are released on Friday!!! Things on the wish list but unlikely to get anytime in the near future are Ferrus Manus and some funky 30k tanks.

He is not on the radar just yet I think. Heresy book 3 will possibly include him, I cannot remember from the FW seminar on it. I do recall that Custodes and Sisters of Silence plus Imperial Fists are in it though. That means Rogal Dorn will be done as well as SoS and Custodes plus their leader Constatine Valdor will get a model. I wonder if Malcador the Sigilite will?!

You'll be looking at book 4 for that from what I had told me from a mate who went it'll be crimbo next year. Book 3 is meant to be called Execute or Execution and will be released about Easter 2014. It should have the rest of the drop site massacre legions so ... Raven Guard and Alpha Legion? Possibly Titan legions stuck in the book plus additional squad types for the legions already included in books 1 and 2? Book 4 which is what I was most interested in, is based on the fun that happened on Prospero and released in time for Christmas 2014. Possibly UK Games day 2014? Mainly Thousand Sons and Space Wolves. You'll also be getting Sisters of Silence and Emperors Custodes included as per the HH story books covering this time. Was only paying attention to those 2 when we were having a chat so not sure about the 5th and 6th books. Think 5 is Signus Prime BA v's Daemons and something to do with DA's? Then Calth for the 6th with Ultramarines, IG and more Titans? Somewhere in the books 3 to 6 there's also meant to be Dark Admec, Imperial Fists and Iron Warriors as well. Sorry if that lot raises more questions than it answers.

Well the main battles they'll cover you've said.
We've already had Isstvan III legions (Sons of Horus, Death Guard, Emperor's Children and World Eaters) First lot of Isstvan V (Iron Hands, Night Lords, Word Bearers and Salamanders)
From those we've only had Angron, Fulgrim and now Ferrus Manus. With Lorgar next.
The rest of the Isstvan V legions (Iron Warriors, Raven Guard and Alpha Legion), Prospero (Thousand Sons and Space Wolves), Signus Prime (Blood Angels), Calth (Ultramarines).
Only ones missed from there are Dark Angels, Imperial Fists and White Scars. Now the Fists were on Terra and the White Scars joined that fight. But the Dark Angels didn't join that battle.

Lol ... The DA's were sitting on the fence waiting to see who's side to pick. That big secret the DA's are hiding is that a fence post got stuck where the sun doesn't shine they'd sat on the fence that long.

I'm guessing there will be a book on the Caliban fight eventually. There's really no limit to the number of books they can roll out. Of course, why should they stop as long as the money keeps rolling in.

As long as they're worth while. But just looking at the speed at which they're doing stuff some of these things we're talking about won't be done for a decade!

Well according to Alan Bligh this could well be a series of 30 odd books at the rate of 2 a year lol. The concrete foundations to your house will need to be reinforced to accommodate the weight.

Is that 30 of the Horus Heresy story books or 30 of the 30k source books?

Lol ... You could say that though my point was one set is £70 each and sets out the rules for battling in the 30k setting and the others are story books costing about £8 each.
I'm slowly collecting the stories as they are released into the small paper back version and would like to eventually collect the set of the big ones. But if they're going to number 30+ I'll give them a miss as I don't fancy coughing up over £2k for them.

Hmmm ... Though I need the first 3 books to have all the rules required for the Iron Hands I'm going to collect. Excellent move on the half of FW for the share holders ... You need book 1 for the basic units, book 2 will have the bulk of the Iron Hand units and book 3 will have a top up of the units available in the previous 2 books.

Ah the Black Library ones, yeah I'm getting what they call "legacy editions" now. Hated when they started the Hardbacks as they don't match the rest! So had to wait.
