Ha! A grand reappearance of the: "You mean I have to reload this thing?" Ultrasmurf..... More like: "What? You're not dead yet? Fine!" Also the book art looks like propaganda material to me. I like it.

Ha! A grand reappearance of the: "You mean I have to reload this thing?" Ultrasmurf..... The sole reason why I'm buying this. No, I "pre-ordered" the rulebook at my local store because we play the latest edition, so I need the rules. They're nice enough to throw in a free card pack (mission cards, I think - I wasn't really paying attention), though.

Saw a copy of the allies matrix chart. All Emperor followers are now ONE group. So DA and SW get along. Looks the same as the old APOC chart.

Much better, although still disagree with eldar and dark eldar being battle brothers.

So BloodAxes fighting alongside Imperial Guard is suddenly just a myth

Apparently come the apocalypse is now allowed to ally, like desperate allies with the addition that such units may not deploy within 12" of their allies. So Blood Axe mercenaries are still allowed, just not allowed to get close to the Imperials until the game starts. Beware the alien! I like that GW remembered to put some good, oldfashioned racism back into the allies chart. Imperials being battle brothers among each other, Eldar, and Chaos, is as it should be. Good thing, too, that Necrons have become anti-social again. Now if we could forget the rest of the background Ward wrote for them, I'd be happy.

It's made Grey Knights much more viable again, before they were only standard allies. Now being Battle Brothers with the Imperium again is ace. The issue I had with the army was they have a lot of teleporters but only two models could take homers.

But at the end of the game you have to put all your ally's in paint stripper when they ally with gray knights, you know, getting mind scrubbed and all

That's the marines... sometimes... (Space Wolves got out of it at the First battle for Armageddon). Any poor Guard that ally are just mercilessly slaughtered afterwards.

So some clarifications then Any units can score except zooming flyers, swooping monstrous and those units specially stating they cannot score. Snap fire is Bs1, no -2 to BS as thought Battle brothers can use other transports Psychic phase is tough. You gen a dice pool of D6+ the total master levels of your psykers on the board inc in vehicles. Your oppo gets the same but uses your D6 roll plus his psykers levels added up. You cast a power, you need to roll a number of 4+'s equal to the warp charge cost of a power. Eg warp charge 3 requires 3x4+ dice to manifest it. The more you roll the bigger your chance of getting the power off. Deny the witch is your oppo has to roll a number of 6+ dice from their pool equal to the number of 4+ rolled by the casting model. You get buffs to this if you are a psyker, or have better mastery. Jinks is 4+ now and you declare jinking BEFORE rolls to hit are made. This includes bikes then...as well as flyers. You have to agree on night fight for T1. If no agreement, then you roll off as before You have to agree how your army selection is made before the game including any restrictions. That means to me you both agree to play unbound with no lords of war for example, If your psychic powers are drawn from the same discipline you get psychic focus and get the primaris power for free. If you have a force weapon, you getThe Force power for free. If your flying monstrous creature changes to swooping in that turn, it cannot charge (yes!!!!) Flying monstrous only take a single grounding check per phase. 1-2 it's grounded takes str9 ap2 hit no saves. It then stays grounded until the owners next movement phase. Difficult terrain assault is -2 inches to your 2d6 charge distance rolled. Therefore snake eyes will now fail a charge.
