OK from the inter webs the following are being touted/quoted/screen shot shared
Its not being called 7th Edition, its just being called New Edition.
It will cost £50GBP for 3 books in a slip case. One for rules, one for fluff, one for collecting miniatures/artwork stuff thingy
There is a Munitorum Special Ltd Edition version, expected cost £150 to £180 limited to 2000 worldwide
There is a new Psychic Phase
There is a new psychic discipline called Daemonology to summon nasties from the warp. All races get it except Tyranics (or Tau or Necrons who have no access to pyskers anyway except via allies
Rolling double 6 on casting is a perils test
Rolling any double on Daemonology is a perils test
You generate and use more dice for psychic powers now more like WHFB and the enemy get to dispel in a similar fashion
There is a Battleforged and an unbound way to build armies. Battleforged is your traditional FoC set up. Units/troops can claim objectives even if they are contested (I guess except if the other side has this rule too in which case they are drawn). Unbound lists can include ANYTHING YOU LIKE, but rumoured to not be able to contest objectives
Expect more on Formations/Data Slates. These grant additional rules and bonuses to show how a fighting force will work and look to theme styles and armies nicely.
Objectives get an overhaul. You get some standard ones like now, but draw cards of objectives at the start of the game. When achieved, you score those VP's then draw a new card to try and do before the end of the game.
Only a single grounding test per phase for FMC's
D weapons no not ignore Invulnerable saves except with a 6 to wound
Vehicles will be harder to destroy (not sure how yet)
Possibility of battle brothers using each others transports. Battle brothers seriously limited now (and rightly so)
Challenge wounds carry over into the unit.
Difficult terrain assault is now just -2"
=====
Expect tournament players to work out how to abuse this in about 5 mins flat.
