Of course this also means jinking flyers are now hitting on a 5+ in most cases which is an improvement to them even though they are now more vulnerable. Swings and roundabouts!

Another video from Jervis has appeared! He's talking about the Psychic Phase this time. They're really giving us a lot of free information about the new edition!

Sounds quite a bit like Storm of Magic to me. It's effectively the fantasy version of apocalypse but it's much better. You can pretty much take what you like, wizards are really dangerous to everyone and their dog and you can bind wild beasts to your cause including daemons (and Zoats!). It certainly isn't for the tournament crowd but is much easier to organise, control and remember what's going on than apocalypse and works well with a normal 3000 pt army plus whatever weird stuff you want to add on. Also, as the magic is so destructive and accessible to everyone bar Dwarfs who don't lose out much anyway, the magic phase becomes a kind of Mexican standoff as no one wants to risk doing the same amount of damage (or more) to their own army as they had planned for the opposition.

I got a sneak peak of this weekends WD with the ltd ed release. Seems odd to advertise something that will be sold the day before and likely to sell out...pointless pages!
Anyway... So £50 rip gets you the triple new ed books. 1 is collecting blurb, 1 is fluff, 1 is 204 page rule book. £9 gets you 50 mission card deck £5 gets you 36 psychic deck £45 gets you a new art book
The ltd ed release includes all the above but with a different cover on each book. The rule book is a mini version though not A4. The cards have a different backing on them to the regular ones you can get. You also get another booklet cover thing containing a map poster, 6 bronze "effect" objective markers. It comes in a card box.
So, all in for £91 you get silly markers, a map, a card box, and different covers to your books.
The reality is thats rather pap with no real selling point to me. Unlike 6E there were some great bits to sell on with unique value. If the art book was limited to this spec ed and the whole lot was £150 then the temptation would be there.
But for me, nah, this is way too steep for what you get. Rules and cards only for me

Is the rulebook available separately right off the bat or perhaps later on?

Just seen this guy on BolS: Apparently a limited edition with some bundle with 7th, I like him! They've needed a new terminator captain model for ages! The old one just doesn't match up anymore!

I just heard he was a new plastic termie captain model. Not sure if it was limited?
What annoys me a little. Say you were a bigger fan boy than me or Gareth. And you wanted one of the 2000 limited ed release rules kits. But you are such a fan you tried to avoid all the forums a little overly talking about it. You you rush down on a Saturday morning to your local GW to pick up WD. And yes there it is! You can buy the new Ltd Ed rule kit! How excited you are and rush to the inshore ordering point Oh? They have been on sale since last night at 7pm and are all sold out? WTF is the point of advertising it in the mag then if its after the event? Stupid.

And here I thought I'd die of old age before seeing a plastic Captain in terminator armor. Heh. Only took them fourteen and a half power armored Captains to get there. I don't know about the radio dish but the rest looks good. I really like having access to a sword that reads "exterminatus". I now need it for an Inquisitor, who is going to hold it gently with one hand and stroke it with the other. I just heard he was a new plastic termie captain model. Not sure if it was limited? If they sold out before someone reading WD gets his chance, they get what they want. If they don't, WD will bring in extra people willing to buy it, so they win, too. Might be the thinking behind it. Not very customer friendly, but who expects that of GW these days?
