I've decided to rescue a few entries from my old resin bases project thread on the old site. The bases are still a work in progress and I'll continue to add to the tread as it progresses.
From back in March 2013 ...And I finally have finished my 1st run of bases from all 4 moulds: - 2x Broken Grounds (16 bases @ 25mm) - 1x Plain Metal Sheeting (8 bases @ 25mm and 4 bases @ 40mm) - 1x Metal Sheeting with additional details (7 bases @ 25mm) The only ones to have any real issues with bubbles is the broken ground ones where the grit is glued on. The others seem to have come out quite well. It's a bit difficult to get the angle of the camera/lighting right to catch to detail on the sheet metal ones.

From back in March 2013 ...Well, I've been doing a little bit of the old casting up with some decent results (minimal bubbles and flat bottoms) for the WJL Crews. As my casting was going well I decided to carry on and I've managed to have get this little lot, ready for starting my 40k force: As they snook into the previous pic I thought I'd better include my current WIP stuff, I've also been working on some 40mm bases and my first bike base (the pot of bases at the top of the pic are the handful of miss casts so you can see my previous 30% - 50% miss cast rate has dropped): This was my attempt at a set of recessed bases after seeing what I think Badfang Brassaxe got up to with a base or 2: These didn't cast up quite as well as I was hoping but I learned a lot from doing them.

From back in April 2013 ...Badfang Brassaxe made use of some of the bases I cast up ... Badfang Brassaxe "There you go, I've put one of mine in at the right hand end of the un-meshed ones for comparison. Yours are a bit more organised than mine but definitely more 'cast friendly', there were a few bubbles in them but most of them were easily filled with paint and, once the mesh is over the top of them, you'll struggle to see any of the ones that didn't fill anyway. I was relieved to see that you'd brought the details up to the level of the top of the base (which will give the figure a bit more support) :smt023 . A bit of convexity under the bottom of the bases needed maybe a minute of sanding on some 80 grit Emery paper which wasn't gut-busting. I was never expecting them to be a gobsmakkin LOOK AT THIS! sort of deal, just something to put a bit extra depth to the figure and in that respect goodjob"

As the happy owner of quite a few of these I can say the quality is excellent - better than several bases I've bought online in the past.

As I'm trying to fully engage my newly re-found hobby Mojo I'll be working on finishing off the Tech/Industrial bases with Dread, bike, large oval and 50mm bases. I'll also have a play around with some other ideas.
Idea's that might make it into bases are mosaic tiles, cobbled, runic carved rock, lava crust, jungle and muddy/broken ground.

Time for a bit of threadmancy. I'm planning to have plenty of dreads in my IH's army so need to get some bases done in the right size. Finally sourced some none GWS blanks for dread sized bases so I can crack on with some funky bases. I'm also going to revisit my old moulds and try a new technique I've been using for other bits. Might be able to have less miss casts now.

Finally getting some work done on these dread sized bases. I'm also working on bike and 40mm bases at the same mirroring similar details on each type of base. This will avoid having to try matching exact thickness of card if I tried it later. Will have pics up later.

Finally finished the 5 dread sized bases. Got some with plenty of detail and some with less. Ran out if the dread bases before finishing the ideas in my head. So I need to get hold of a couple more. There will be more for me to select from for casting up once I've finished. I've also finished 5 bike bases and and additional 5 TDA sized bases. Photos will happen in the morning.
