This year hobbywise I've not actually done much other than work on scenery for my brother.
However I've finally got the stuff required to clean out my airbrush and I'm going to give it another go now it's actually clean. I reckon even if I just use it to undercoat and base coat models it'll save me loads of time in the long run.
The old SW army got knocked over and broken so currently sifting through the parts trying to rescue what I can before raiding the fresh parts. So they're not getting stripped. Just reassembled and then painted so having very thin airbrushed layers will help avoid clogging of detail.
Already got quite a few characters undercoated black and now working though the jump pack troops. I'm planning on getting as much as I can assembled and undercoated before the end I the month as there's a painting challenge starting on the b&c next month.

So now you did all the fun stuff - go get them paints. I have stopped making so many models at once - never get around to painting them if I don't do it in smaller chunks

Lol ... This madness is me actually finally getting my SW army built. It's only been on and off the slow burner for well over a decade, or is the two decades? Even if I just get it built and basecoated it will be a massive step forward. However the competitive me is entering a painting comp. So I'd expect atleast some to get painted within the 3 month time period.

Somebody's gotta do it I approve of this message! That's a lot of puppies awaiting painting. All of them Blood Claws? Are all Grey Hunters on vacation?

I ended up painting for the Space Wolves faction for this years ETL over on the B&C site managing to paint a total of 6,000 points of SW's in 3 months. <will insert pics once they're taken> Now that's over I'm going to start something a bit more manageable. 500 point chunks taken from different codex. To be honest I've had enough painting SW's and need to recover before jumping back into them when they drop for 30k.

..managing to paint a total of 6,000 points of SW's in 3 months. Are you trying to give me a heart attack?

It's a silly 6,000 made up mainly of characters with variable loadouts.

That would be my approach, but that would still require something like 30 Thunderwoofy riders, so still a lot.

The first 3,000 points was I think 18 characters and the second 3,000 was 50+ models. Will get some decent pics taken today and post them up.

So what does 6,000 points look like? Well here it is: Didn't realise quite how many TDA and jump pack models I'd completed until I got them together.
