So, seen that my kickstarter for Relic Knights arrived quite a while ago, and I also started an Infinity warband (a game which I'm playing rather regularly and I must say I'm quite enjoying it) , I was in dire need of some Sci-Fi terrain… So I bought some kits @ Crisis Antwerp 2014 From Warmill a Happy Holidays booth to dream away after a day full of close quarters-stress Rear side : Without the container : Two Micro Arts studios buildings : The garage The Guard house From the leftovers, combined with a 40K vehiclebit, some other plastic bits ’n pieces and a cookie-jar like I used for the roof of my square house, I constructed bunker: Re-using bits of old modems I made a container (the big red thing with white stripes) An dit fits onto the garage, with enough space left over for figs to move around I also bought a spaceship to use as a building And all of the above, plus some assorted props :

Onwards and forwards... My old GWS Guard-Tower which served for my Nurgle Traitor Imperial Guard has been cleaned of all Nurgly greenstuff and twin-linked Heavy Bolters, re-primed and repainted. The manicured trees often seen in fantasy forests became shrubberies in plantpots... The next build is a combination of a Samsung Galaxy Alpha box, a kit from Conflix, the accessories sprues from Deadzone and Micro Art leftovers... Not everything is glued in place yet, to make painting (a lot) easier And painted : These come from the Deadzone accessories sprues Joined, they can be a barricade "Creative with junk" Found these on the streets, no idea whatsoever what they are or what their purpose used to be... Add 2 40K vehicle bits per "thing"... And add paint : "Creative with junk. The Sequel" I had this one lying around :an old wireless Modem to surf over a cellular EDGE/3G network, rendered completely, utterly and totally obsolete by the current generation of smartphones Add one 40K vehicle bit + some cardboard Add paint and perform some google-image-search-fu ... All of the new pieces together... Some more battlefield "rubble" A second radar : I've been searching for cheap wireless modems to turn into billboards, but all I've found up until now is this one, another shape, but it doesn't look remotely as good as the previous one... I bought some screws, and they came in a very nice box (idea inspired by a fellow club-member) With some added warning-signs : And with some Infinity figs for size comparison : I scored another wireless modem to turn into a billboard, and I transformed some sports-beverage-plastic-bottlecaps into a couple of big plant-pots: Together with the billboards and plants I did earlier, and some Infinity Haqqislam soldiers for size-reference :

Also, I found this @ an abandoned desk at work. A small inquiry later 'naaah, he doesn't work for our company anymore. Sure you can have it!' The same evening, at home, I cut off the wires and added a couple of 40K vehicle bits... Some paint and google-image-searching later for sci-fi interfaces... Aaand the very last bit of sci-fi scenery up to now… The subject of my clubs' quarterly painting competition is 'futuristic plants' So I made this little mini-plantation/alien plant quarantine : And I finally pushed myself to process the Mantic box I bought @ a convention.. After quite some try-outs, planning, scrapping the planning and restarting, I decided to stick with two buildings. First off a Sniper-nest : And the rest of the box was assembled in a big, los-blocking mastodont to break up the board somewhat with limited cover on the roof...

Please lets see it all in one setup Sure thing, this is what my last game looked like, my scenery accompanied by Corvus Belli's cardboard scenery from the starterbox : Kasym Beg zooming impetuously over the battlefield towards certain death Ghulam Infantry getting ready to sedate the beast This picture illustrates a very common sight in Infinity : cover-hugging. Quit your cover, and get ready to be targeted by the enemy (in your own turn at that!)
