Oddly enough that looks like the same one I got a few months ago, its a good set, not top of the range and fancy buy fairly nice. I haven't had any problems with it.
You will be always mixing your paint for an airbrush, maybe not with the vallejo air range, but for citadel definately. Best bet is to get some thinner, or use water. I got some thinner x20a or similar name. Its alcohol based so will evaporate quick leaving paint when airbrushing. I would go for the layer black rather than the base black though.
Same with wolf gray, just thin it down and it can be sprayed like its straight out of a can. Check out airbrush guru. Its a good site airbrush related.

It looks reasonably similar to the one I got a few years ago, haven't had any problems (other than incompetence on my part). Answers a: Use Vallejo Black primer
b: Try thinning with water first - about 60% paint to 40% water (stirred, not shaken) and see how you go

That is the best set to start with, I belive Stretch, haywire and FK have the same set, and I do too.

Yup that's the one I have. I've bought a new one since but the compressor was passed on and is still going strong I believe.

As for basecoating, I'm still using black spray undercoat from my local £1 store with no bad effects

If you clean it straight away warm soapy water works fine. If you leave it you'll need a chisel.
A stitch in time really does save 9

Vallejo do big tubs of something they call airbrush cleaner - seems to do what it says on the bottle.

Cool, Ill put trough a load of water after every spray
Had to change the Plug as it was A US version of the compressor but the power was as it should be in Europe.
Had a little test run using water to see how things work and it feels OK, I hope it still feels OK when I use paint

I have this brush: www.air-craft.net/acatalog/Harder-Steenbeck-Evolution-Silverline-FPC-2-in-1-Airbrush-1.htmlThinning with proper acrylic thinners will give better results than justs using water, always always thin everyrthing that you put in the brush (yes even airbrush specific paint/ primers/ varnish) and speaking of which, as already mentioned- go with Vallejo's model air/ game air paints, they are really good, the primers are excellent and come in a choice of colours to better match the end result you are looking for. After an airbrush session I fire through about 5 airbrush cups of clean water to clear the majority of the paint, then I fire through 2 cups of Vallejo airbrush cleaner which really gets the insides of the brush clean and ready for the next session. Doing it this way I only need to completely strip and clean the brush rarely (which is an easy job with the brush I have) FK

Thanx for the tips
I used the primer out of the bottle and it worked fine
Mixing the Citidal paint was a little trial and error but after getting a new pot (ill never use a paint that was used to paint with a brush) and using a piped to get a about 45 paint 55 water mix it came out smooth, Only the colour I set was much darker so I need to put on a lot mor layers to get the same color as the rest of my army.
Overall it was a nice little experience.
