Pre-orders being accepted at GW from 7pm to mitigate the standard GW online web crash. I think their online store will be doing this via the order points in store
Price is rumoured to be £85 each

Got to admit they are appealing if just for painting sake. But something deep within is mumbling things about dark angels, deathwing and a revisit to my 'whooops looks like i have the entire deathwing company + thunderhawk, all transports, characters and dreadnought' days

Pre-orders being accepted at GW from 7pm to mitigate the standard GW online web crash. Is that announced somewhere? Because if it is, the crash will just happen five hours earlier than usual.

If SOMEONE has a shop selling these, they BETTER have a photo up of an assembled one, with other big model next to it, within 5 minutes of release.

Legion of the Damned CodexIt's on the Black Library as an E-book pre-order for March, costs a tenner, and includes Warlord Traits and other bits to run them as a full detachment not just a single squad.

Not too keen on that paint job to be honest! And 40k seems to have lost it's appeal a lot lately, can't quite put my finger on it, except to say that with no restrictions a "normal" game of 40k doesn't exist any more! If you are looking for a pick up game and don;t know whether you'll be facing off against super-heavies, you can;t plan your army list. Unless you tool your army against super-heavies you stand no chance! HG

Bob, get back to basics and do the kill team challenge with me, it's hard to powergame with 200 points and a host of restrictions mate Oh, and I agree about 40k getting out of hand now, the escalation and allies rules being used in `normal` games of 40k is just ridiculous... FK

Just because it's there doesn't mean it has to be played that way guys. It's your hobby. Play it your way with people who think the same way.
The power gamers and waac group run out of players eventually. They always do.

Just because it's there doesn't mean it has to be played that way guys. It's your hobby. Play it your way with people who think the same way. The power gamers and waac group run out of players eventually. They always do. That's a fair point Stretch and one which a lot of folk seem to make but you always tend to find that, no matter people's intention to `play for fun` if you give them the option of using ridiculously hard units/ models/ rules then they will gravitate towards that in order to win more than they lose. Some of the nicest, most well meaning gamers I have ever met have succumbed to this power creep issue simply to stop themselves getting their arses kicked every single game by other players. Really GW should have kept escalation and these new knights etc for pre arranged games (like apoc used to be) and use the standard FOC for `normal` games where you could turn up to somewhere, find an opponent and know that your relatively well balanced, non cheese list wouldn't get stomped on by something unkillable and, lets be honest, if you turn up for an average game vs an `army` of 3 of these imperial knights and you don't have massed melta/ las cannons or something similar you are going to lose...
