Been having a "box off" challenge with a mate on the contents of this great set! I have now completed the SW models in a different style to my usual painting. I think they look more gritty and less cartoon like that you usually see. What do you think?!

Well, first I'd better say that they are considerably better painted than anything I've got in any of my armies - then again, I'm not at all convinced that orks would look right like that anyways There's one or two nitpicking faults such as the red and green paint 'splashes' on this ones left gauntlet I'm not sure what the black mark on his left shinguard is either or whether the blue outline on the runes is deliberate. I think I'd have gone for a different hair colour as the pigtails blend into the armour a bit too much for my liking and the rocks could have used a bit more work (building up with Milliput or chiselling down a bit) to make a few of them look less perched. Minor niggles on an otherwise excellent set of paint jobs.

Cheers for the feedback. Some of these weird niggles only show on the close up photos! the red green on the gauntlet Ill have another look at. The black mark on the shin is actually something on the lens on the camera I think. It looks very weird!
The rock base is going to get some snow or ice effect on it Also need to finish the bolter target lens as well.
But yeah been fun to paint these up!

Cheers for the feedback..... You're very welcome, we're all trying to get better and it looks very much as though you've got very little room for improvement As for the close-ups, it's amazing how unforgiving they are

Yeah when the pic is 4x the size of the model, you can see flaws far easier than at the 2" hand eye view.
