Okay folks; it's hardly the best picture, I know, but this is what I did with the Ltd. Edition captain that I got off Stretch all those months ago. This is pre- weathering/battle damage/blood. Also at the moment his hair is just the black undercoat spray - suggestions?

Not bad at all buddy that. Might need a drop of shading in between the armour plates but too much will kill it off so gently does it
Keep it up.

Trust me; mud, blood and sponge weathering all over for this lad - I can't imagine the 12th Legion kept very clean when the Nails were singing!
Glad you approve. The power sword is actually the blade from a GK halberd - looks more like a butcher's cleaver than a sword, which I thought was appropriate.

Looking good Jame`s, if it was me i`d of gone with a head with no hair (hate trying to pick a colour). With Darren on the shading, over all a good job, keep up with the good work mate............
Doom....

Looks good so far. As far as hair is concerned, I think you can't go wrong with dark blond if you want a younger guy or gray if you want older. He's a Marine, so it's probably best not to go for anything exotic.

'Fraid the only time I had to paint hair on a beaky was the captain from the AoBR set hanging out of the front of the Dredd Weight on Smoggy's SupaRokkit launcha, started off with reddy/brown hair, thought 'this seems too much like hard work' so I just sat a squigeon on his head and called it 'done'. So, probably not much help there - maybe just paint your captains hair black with gobbits of flesh and gore stuck in it?

Looks good so far James, picked yourself a nice complicated paint scheme eh? White armour, you are a brave man As for the hair, red would get lost in the blood and gore you have planned, how about a nice distinguished head of grey hair? As for the shading between the armour plates can I suggest using the oil wash technique? it would make lining those armour plates an absolute doddle! FK

It's not the cleanest white (nothing like Stretch's Scars) but in truth it is piss easy - Pallid Wych Flesh for the win!
And it'll be washed and damaged and gored up, so neatness is technically not an issue.....
