Doesn't look very nautical to me.  No, but on the plus side it does look orky, guessing it's some kind of anti-knight or cheaper alternative to FWs megadredd. I might even buy a copy of WD  |

read it should be a mini-stompa, 1-2 inches shorter than the knight model

From looking at the picture, to me it does indeed seem like it's a bit taller than a Dreadknight but shorter than a Riptide. But of course broader than both. Nice halfway between a Deffdred and a Stompa. I might even buy a copy of WD What strange times we live in.  |

Dont want to get back into 40k no no no.
But there's something so deeply comical and appealing about orks. My only problem is painting them. I struggle to do beat up and orky.

So preorders for the codex at the earliest on the 8th for a release on the 15th, if prior releases are anything to go by and Orks get three release weeks. I hope the codex allows for good variety of options. There wasn't enough flash in the 4th ed codex to speak to my inner Bad Moon.  |

FK, GW's codex release scheme is as follows, generally speaking:
1. Divide release into several weeks, three for most releases since the switch to weekly.
2. Put the codex into the week before last release, so as not to show any models in the codex before they are available at least for preorder.
3. Put teaser/get you by rules for the new releases before the codex into White Dwarf, so people can buy and play with the new thing immediately, albeit in the context of the old codex.
Not ideal as far as I'm concerned, but what can you do? At least you need not worry if you get a codex at all. It's coming, you just have to wait two more weeks instead of one (provided we get a three week release).

I always liked GW's post 2nd ed mega armor design. I never liked that it was metal, though.  Those new ones look pretty much unchanged. I like that. I was afraid GW mighty pull an Ogryn like redesign on them. Now I can't wait to see more, better pictures of them. |
