So since their launch I have been working on a pair of IK's for my Legio Astorum (Warp Runners). I am sure you have seen the Reaver and Warhound to date, and always wanted the Knights to be released to add to them. A little hindered by the barrage of Knightly House and Freeblade stuff, but fortunately enough fluff in the Codex to confirm that Knights can (and are) in full service in the Mechanicum Legio Titanicus as well. As per the book, it states that sometimes a Knight or group of knights from the same house will join a Legio and abandon its affiliation to the old House and remove any markings etc and commit itself to the Legio. Used as flank protection to the larger war engines or front line forces... So paint applied, this is the WIP to date. Guns / Reaper Chainswords, some more details/weathering and basing really to go.

In the fluff do they say any are totally dedicated to Guard regiments or Marine chapters?

From what I have read so far, none are dedicated to the AM/IG or SM. But they often have mega strong oaths to answer the call to aid stretching over many many years. They sometimes adopt some iconography to their own Knight Suits to signify the bond, and examples of those with UltraMarine and Imperial Fists exist in the Codex or Knight Companion guide. But thats in addition to their own House scheme, so don't start painting them in Blood Angels colours just yet. But then, its your model, you can do what ya like and just say its on extensive campaign with the "insert chapter here" and has adopted the colours of said chapter. Perhaps reverse the idea. Have predominantly the Marine/IG scheme, then on a single shoulder pad, have the House scheme/icons?
FK - the Eclipse icons on the shield and shoulder are all airbrush and freehand mate. The white striped shoulders are masked and airbrushed (grey through white). Each has a slightly different shoulder stripe and knee pattern.

Superb airbrushing skills then! You really should video a tutorial sometime, I am working my way through lots of tutorials in readiness for getting my airbrush next week...

I ask as a project I've wanted to do for a while would be to have a Ultramar IG regiment to be alongside my Ultramarines. Throw in some Knights would be just an extra detachment for a proper "real-life" scale of campaign. As I have the 3rd company of Ultras with extras in the form of the 1st, 10th and 8th. So a decent chunk of a regiment plus a couple of Knights would be ace...

There are named blue looking Knights (or you can make your own up of course). TBH if you wanted to do ultra-knights, no one would frown. The technique for the eclipse is straight from the FW Masterclass Im not breaking ground here, just copying as always. I'll see if I can get some piccies against its bigger brothers when they are finished for you. If I can, I'll dig out the Revenant and Phantom as well!

Oh i got them on the day of release of course by pre-ordereing from GW (Had vouchers and occasionally like to put cash behind the till there to ensure gaming nights stay open). Will be looking to extend the numbers of these but via discount sources such as Dark Sphere. I also want to add in the new FW Lancer, so just waiting on that to be released before throwing my wallet at the screen.
Glad you like!
