Need to work out what I'm doing for the bases for my 30k army. I'm hoping to eventually take these to a GWS 30k themed event at some point in the very far flung future. We're talking at least a year or two before this happens. However I've recently become aware that GWS don't like you rocking up with sculpted resin bases. Has anyone had issues with using resin bases at warhammer world?
Might look at creating some resin base toppers if it is an issue. The question then is what should I go for as a basing idea? Don't think the stuff I've already done would work that well.

I've never had a problem with resin bases at warhammer world but it was at a campaign weekend not run by GW. I used my eldar all on jetbikes etc. they had custom bike bases to use instead of flying stands, no-one moaned and some even said they made more point than the traditional flying bases. this was some years ago now, so I don't know if they have gotten a lot stricter. You could try having a unit in an army that has resin bases and take them out for a test run, so see if anyone kicks off, although your still left with like 85% of the model being citadel, so they shouldn't complain.

Well, it's not quite the same thing, but a few months back they had no trouble with me using non-GW modelling kit right there in the gaming hall (scalpel, glue, files etc) so you might get away with it - after all, whose to stop you, really?
