Simple enough question, really - I have a ten man Rhino-rush 'Zerker squad (Dirge Casters on the Rhino) with a power axe champion. Now, since the local theme in my store is Marine-heavy with a Tau player in the mix as well, is it worth splashing points on a pair of chainaxes? Just two is sufficient, I think.
On the one hand they're THE signature WE weapon, yet on the other I wonder......
Thoughts, gentlemen?

If it were me building the army and it was fluffy to do so then I would go down the chainaxe route for sure but then I'm a firm believer in coolness over winning lists anyday so I'd probably then get my ass handed to me but I'd have fun doing so So if it is a signature WE weapon then it's a no-brainer choice for me, I would go with it- for exactly the same reason I plan on running squads of noise marines as troops all upgraded with noise weapons, going against almost every bit of advice I have read on Emperor's children armies which (generally) state that noise marines are not as effective as `normal` CSM squads- I don't care about effectiveness, I don't play often enough (or seriously enough) to worry about winning all the time, if I set out to build a new army then I want it to hopefully look good and be as fluffy as possible, if I do win a game or 2 with said army then that's a nice bonus but the joy of building and painting the army would be enough if I didn't... So, long story shortened: go with chainaxes!!! FK

If you go with the box content and get no more than up to half of the squad equipped with chain axes, you'll probably not lose too many points that you could use to better effect elsewhere. Any more than that costs too much, in my opinion.
Does it do anything? Who do Berzerkers engage that have 4+ armor? Scouts and Firewarriors. When is the last time you saw close combat Scouts? You'll probably fight against sniper squads, and I don't know if people play them in large enough numbers that Berzerkers should have trouble cutting them down through number of attacks alone. Firewarriors? Sure, squads of ten or twelve are the way to go, but with low WS and T many attacks will make it through, leaving armor as their only defense.
AP4, in my opinion, is a nice bonus, but it doesn't do anything against most foes that Berzerkers would need an AP against.
Plus, you're going to get shot up on the way anyway, so you may as well let the chainsword guys die that don't pay extra for their weapons.
Two weapons in the squad? Sure, sounds good to me.
