I have in front of me two bags of Nuln Ironsides, and the question is... now what? I understand one needs to clean the resin before assembling and painting it? How? Any pitfalls I need to be aware of? These are my first Forgeworld models. I have no clue what I'm doing.

Warm soapy water and a toothbrush just to get the mould release off. Not too hot or it will allow the resin to bend

Great, thanks. I think I can do that. Good point about not making the water too warm. Didn't even occur to me even though I already had one of my Finecast models bend due to summer temperatures.

On occasion, that bending can be useful - warm up the resin enough to make it bendable (say with a wonky sword or similar), prod it into place, then hit it with cold water to 'flash freeze' it into the correct place.

I really hope it won't come to that. I'd like my models non-bendy from the start. I'll keep it in mind, but hopefully the fact that Ironsides are headless dudes with one arm that are one piece will save me such trouble. I know why I stuck with plastics all these years...
