So on Bartertown they have this painting challange. Paint your models, get points and by years end you have a fully painted army and braggin rights. I won last year thanks to Madlyn needing bottles and diapers late into the night. I would stay up, paint and answer her beckon calling/screaming. This year Im in it again just for fun. So heres my plan:
Army board. 2x2 foot dispaly board. Themed DA. I plan to place a bunch of inner circle units around Cyper and some "Fallen" Marines. SO the question is this: other than Wolf Guard, are there any other mixed armour units out there in 40k land? I know I can have a indy char with 2+ artificer armour in a PA group but Im looking at termy armour and PA options..
Thanks,
Jason
PS sorry about the spelling. its 1135 pm EST and i dead tired......

The only one I can think of is the old black templars and their mix of power armour and scout armour.
Can't think of any other mixes of tda and pa
Chaos renegades maybe?

Black Templars still have Crusader Squads with a mix of power and scout armor, if you wish (Scouts are optional).
But power and terminator armor? Chaos Marines have separate entries for Terminators and Chosen, none of the cults have an upgrade option from power armor, nor do any of the reggular power armored units. Codex Supplement Black Legion does not change this.
Marines don't have mixed units, with the above exception, Blood Angels don't have mixed units, Dark Angels don't have mixed units. Grey Knights, the chapter doesn't have mixed armor units. Grey Knights, the army does, but only for Inquisitorial Henchmen, who make poor Marines and don't get the option for terminator armor among their many options.
While I don't own nor have read Clan Raukaan supplement, from reports I don't think they brought back the option Iron Hands once had to equip Sergeants of power armored units with terminator armor.
To the best of my knowledge Space Wolves are your only options for a mixed terminator/power armored unit. Even if you are content with putting characters in terminator armor and sticking them in power armored units, Space Wolves lets you take four characters instead of two, still making them the best choice.

I think the best you can do is a unit of TDA with two IC in power armour or the other way around outside wolves and there 10 wolfguard 4 IC combo of do what you want

Now that I think about it Blood Angels have Elite Chaplains and Sanguinary Priests, allowing you more independent characters with that army list if you choose to go the independent character route. And then there are Techmarines that usually don't take up an HQ slot, too. usefulness depends on whether you want to include specialist Marines, of course.
