Righto.
Bought me a starter set and the millennium falcon (rule of cool, no other reason)
What next?
And yes I know the star trek version is supposed to be better tactically but the force rocks my boat more. Each to their own eh?

Think you kinds have to add a few x-wing and tie varients in at first. I haven't got too much yet. Just another Tie interceptor and a rebel a-wing

Online they say get 2 starter sets, as they have the "troops" that are used in most games

I have 3 starter sets to bulk out the forces and then add in extras as liked.
Game wise, imperial trends to outnumber 2:1 or 3:2 on average.
There's a lot of elite lists using less ships as well.
We tend to play 100 point games, though I'd love to go higher and use even more ships!
If you're coming up this way for gaming, let me know and I'll try and get a pass to come and play

Just dipped my toe into x-wing as it's really good, even the wife had a go after watching the first game.

Looks like x-wing is now a firm favourite in the household in combination with settlers and carcasson there has been no GWS action for quite a while now on the tabletop. Currently playing with a single starter set and a few extra ships my mate has. Got a load of overtime coming up so October will see me finally clearing some debts and a hobby purchase which will be the starter set. Really looking forward to seeing how near enough doubling the number of ships will effect the game. Really liking how quick the game is so we can swap sides and play again with the opposing force in the same evening unlike other games which take a full evening.

You would probably love the Dead Man's Hand Wild West game then, a quick 2 person game can be over in a matter of half hour sometimes! (Or even sooner with a few lucky "Head shots"!)

X-wing has finally landed at my house!!! The wife was teasing me saying it had to be put away till crimbo but a few foot rubs later I seem to be allowed it now. Combining my set with my mates set helps knock the ship numbers up to a reasonable level. Need to work out what extra ships are going to be added to the collection. Might try an a-wing out?

hwk is well worth the investment as well as a ite interceptor. A wings are fast and agile, but will fall apart with any concentrated blast, but they do pack a punch. I run 1 with a hwk to support it as it can increase the effectivness.
