Loving everything you have done to date, and what SW1 said "Just love the mental image of them "acquiring" the equipment".
Keep up with the good work.

Thanks chaps, Keep up with the good work. Doom.... I had a go at some 'good' work, but I'm not convinced it happened - I mean he's definitely darker from underneath than he is from above so the OSL's done it's thing but the DPM has done it's thing so much better. So I painted him some boyz to shout at but just washed the lower right surfaces with Burnt Umber oil wash and Not seeing a huge difference The idea is that these are the first trickle of a green tide, I think I'll use the oil wash technique on the rest of them.

So, I've got a big job looming and I'm looking for excuses to put it off, Ghostwalkers Jeeps reminded me I've still got these lying around Yay, they've got engines w0t fit, though the one on the left just did cause problems ( This Site is good for engines that won't fit in the box) and I think the GW puffing billy on the right might need swapping out for something a bit better. Fortunately, arming them shouldn't be a problem but they will need kroos

Fortunately, arming them shouldn't be a problem but they will need kroos And steering wheels. Looking good, though. Kroo was always what stopped me from continuing on my Battlewagon. Tough to make from Ork kits without looting other Ork kroos.

If you are looking for new engines - the killa kans set have some awesome ones. Cheers Manus, noticed the one you'd put on the back of your praetorian servitor that looks well in that application - I just prefer buggy engines that look like buggy engines and the axial one in the left buggy is a cross between an aero engine and a bus engine, which kind of makes it suitable for a buggy ....... but they will need kroos And steering wheels. W0t is an ork going to do with a steering wheel The drivers are going to be pretty well buried in the front so the drivers, seats and (lack of) controls will all be made as one bit and the gunner, swivel pole and guns will be made as another. As for the actual making of the kroos, in the past I've always hacked up GW - the slapshootas in the previous thread are made up like that and they were a total tinker to make. So I've decided to make my own (about a year ago - did I mention there's a big job I've been avoiding?) Oh well, I've got one head down to warboss size and with a bit of luck I'll have them down to nob size tomorrow, fingers crossed for boy sized heads for the weekend.

Oooh, and the pretty light. I need more info on that. Cheers Geifer, the flashy lights are from here and the batteries from here, the 'wiring' is hilarity itself - the diode has a long contact and a short one (I think the long one is the anode to the positive side of the battery and the short one is the cathode to the negative, it might be the other way round but it only takes a couple of seconds to check and temporarily back-feeding them doesn't seem to kill them). The anode is bent at right angles to the diode base and then bent to another right angle and back so that it pushes against the edge of the battery with a bit of insulation tape stuck underneath it and the cathode is coiled downwards to 'spring' against the top of the battery negative, the battery is then installed flat across the top of the meks' shoulders so that the led contacts push down against it when the KFF is installed.

Cool, thanks. One day, one day I'll have to do something like that.
