The strangest thing happened tonight... I realised i had to pull my finger out regarding a secret santa model on another forum (ulthuan). Now i don't normally paint very fast as you all know, i have also been struggling to paint to a tabletop level rather than going all out. So about 7:30 tonight, with a monster energy drink and an ipod loaded with Skillet music, i headed off to do battle with my painting demons. Demon 1 - P ainting full stop. Demon 2 - Painting an elf. Demon 3 - Painting quickly. Demon 4 - Painting to a level that isn't everything i have. I had left the model late as so much real life stuff has been going on lately, some fun others stuff not so much and work just dragging me down to borderline depression (which is why last weekend complete escape was so good). Anyways the model is an Avatars of War light elf mage. I am going to say i am not overly impressed with the model, a lot of detail is very 'shallow' moulded, some of the joins for parts are ridiculously small and the model just didn't feel upto AoW's normally high level. Maybe it was just me though. So here's some pics, it has a long journey as i got dibbed with someone in America as my SS victim. Can only hope they are happy with it.
