So this weekend a few of us (Zog, Squig, robertjb001 and I) are heading to Nottingham for Mantic's Open day. I expect some sneak peeks, good fun and goodies. I'll throw up a review of sorts once we've returned. Anyone else heading up?

I'm working the Friday night too. No chance of swapping. I'm on overtime this week as it is to cover the shift

I've not updated what happened!
So We got there in good time, Karl had already arrived and was playing a demo game of Warpath and enjoying it! Me and Rob had a wander around to see what was about, during this time I met and had a chat with James Hewit (Mantic's community manager).
I found a room with a couple of guys from Hawk Wargames demoing Dropzone Commander. So I managed to get a demo game of that which was pretty much a full game (because I requested it). Was great fun and was good to see the game in action. I did lose as he got an objective off the table, but I did destroy all his tanks, however he destroyed all my dropships. The game lasted about an hour and a half and we did everything in a normal game!
During this game the Beasts of War guys turned up and all I managed to say to Warren was a surprised "Hi!". As he then greeted my opponent from Hawk who actually played against him in BoW's demo game video.
After that we had a little look round, with Zog doing some stunning networking. We then grabbed his Deadzone stock and headed home early afternoon.
Was a good day, especially that it was a lot more intimate than any of the GW days. Mainly because I saw and met these "celebrities", the smaller companies are clearly far more approachable.
