Just a quick one but Im at work and dont have my books with me. Can a unit arriving by drop pod split into combat squads after its initial deployment?

Pretty sure they can. I think it depends on you announcing the fact before the pod arrives, though.

Yeah, the decision to Combat Squad is made before choosing Warlord Traits. You then proceed with deployment as usual, noting that the two Combat Squads can use the same transport vehicle at the same time. So you can declare Combat Squadding with the unit using the DPod, then DPod them in as usual but once they disembark the two units have to remain separate permanently.

Combat squads have to be split before start battle, but can use the same transport at the same time (including a droppod).
