Found this guy and just knew I had to paint him! He serves no real purpose in the army. I may use him as a squad leader maybe, but I just felt the need to paint him! Obviously early days, but thought I'd share and wish everyone a happy new year to boot!

Happy new year Mr Dan and that guy is way too good a model to be a humble squad leader, isn't it a sorcerer model of some sort?

Yep, but not a successful one. He got replaced by the plastic kit shortly after getting released. He'll be lucky to find a job as squad leader with a bad mark like that on his CV. I think Tzen's job offer is very generous and he should accept it.

Yeah, pretty much what Geifer and Paladin have said is true! I actually have the plastic Termi lord somewhere, and eventually I will be using it as my Coryphaus. But this model is too nice not to use! The worst thing about this model is that stupid half star above his head. It's the worst part of what I feel is a pretty strong mini. Anyways! Sorry about the lousy picture, but not much I can do! WIP so far!

Stupid half star stuck to his head? Sacked almost as soon as he was employed and replaced by some flash plastic model? THis guy just has the worst luck in the world! FK

Bit of a sad story here Spent all day yesterday trying to do a rough version of a pre heresy banner as his cloak, with the book and flame. Then I managed to ingeniously spill half a pot of Nuln oil over the back of the mini. Luckily it was only the cloak and the power claw arm that got covered in it. And a bit of the base. But it essentially meant I had to re do the entire cloak It wasn't looking that great anyway but I lost a bit of interest after this happened Ah well. Re do the Power fist this afternoon then this dude should be done!

Stay focussed, you can do it.

That sucks, but if it drives you to do a better job of something that you weren't happy with, perhaps it's a blessing in disguise. After all now you have to redo it, just now you also have knowledge of the tricky parts of that part of the model. You'll surely do better now. And it beats the alternative of giving up, because first you'll not finish the model that way, and the half finished model will keep mocking you until you do pick up painting it again. So, the only logical choice is to get right to it and teach it to defy its rightful master like that. And it would be a terrible waste, because it already looks good. I can see what you were talking about with that strange half star, though.
