It's been quite a while since I have painted anything, and I'm feeling a little out of practice. Dissertation has come and gone, and I have found an hour or so at the end of every day of exam revision to get a bit of painting in to wind down and let all the information sink in. Out of all the possessed models I have, this was my "worst" model, I just don't like the legs, they make no sense, even for a daemon infused monster! Obviously not finished yet, but wanted to share my work in progress!

Wow, these are great minis. I had personally despaired of doing possessed for my own CSM army, but you've given me back the hope that it can be done without looking to inconsistent. Really well chosen colours - the purple fits with the red, and the skin is a nice contrast. The rust on the backpack might stick out a little, but since rust is one of the greatest things on a mini, it still rocks. Let's see more of this!

I think the model looks awesome! Don't know why you think there is something wrong with the model. But to me a possessed marine can never look wrong.

Don't get me wrong, possessed are fantastic models. But the legs don't work. Imagine the model stood upright and not running. One leg is modelled to have the knee go backwards. Like a birds leg. The other is modelled so that it goes forwards, like well.. a normal leg. But with a hoof on the end. It looks fine until you realise this, then once you have realised it you can't not remember it.

Great work. I really like the paintjob you have pulled off here. Especially the contrast between flesh and armour and the definition of both is well executed. I don't really see the problem in the legs - at least not from these pictures. AS far as I can see both have normally working knees and ankles, but the hoof sort of replaces the front of an ordinary foot after a very long instep. The legs sort of remind me of those of my Kroot who always look as if they stand on tiptoe :-)

Third possessed marine WIP. Really happy with the tone of the red on this guy. I don't know the reason why, but whenever I take a break from painting my Word Bearers the formula for the red I like just slips my mind, it takes me a few practice models to get it right again. This never happens when I paint my Ultramarines!

Working away in the evening on another possessed marine. This one has entered a dark pact with a nurgle daemon!

Wow, really well done. I admire the clarity and graduations of your colours. I'm looking forward to seeing this one completed (what's the plan with his left hand, colourwise?)
