Ok, I am now looking at Swiftclaws - I'm still exploring the codex and options available. I have an Attack Bike already - 2 actually, so I'm thinking of building 1 with a heavy bolter and 1 with a multi melta to cover each option.
I'm torn about whether to use Scout Bikes with Space Wolf heads or Marine bikes as my Swiftclaws. I am veering towards Scout Bikes so I can take a marine bike and use it for the character I'll add.
This has lead me to a dilemma...well, a couple of dilemma's actually.
1. What do people think of the choice for the bikes? Marine or scout?
2. If I take a wolf guard on attack bike with a wolf claw, the rules say you decide whether to reroll failed 'To Hit' or 'To Wound' at the start of the combat phase. Does this mean, if I charge with the unit and choose to reroll failed 'To Wound' rolls, I can reroll my Hammer of Wrath?
I have a 500 point game next Friday and I'm seriously thinking that a unit of Swiftclaws could make the grade...
Currently looking at
Swiftclaw Bikers (3) with a melta, Attack bike with Heavy Bolter and some form of character with a combi-flamer and a wolf claw...

With regard to models, just use whatever you like, my Swiftclaws are on a mix of marine bikes and marauder horses, so no problem there! It sounds like it could look interesting.
Hammer of Wrath is resolved using just the model's base strength and AP, no weapon bonuses are taken into account as you are just running over the enemy with the speed of the bike. So no, short answer!
