Thanks. The kustom mega cannon is a plasma cannon with a point more strength, because, you know, Orks love to turn the power dial to eleven (Risk? Wut's dat?). So it is, in fact, an enlarged lighter.

Should you want any marine jump packs for hacking up as part of your Rokkit Ranga's, let me know. Got a few I can spare.

Thanks for the offer. Once I get organized and know how much I have, I may get back to you. That said, after a zzap struck me noggin, I feel the compulsion to attach Centurion drills to my Deffkoptas, so the Rokkit Rangaz may take a bit longer to even start.

Update time! I'm on a roll. Now that the Morkanaut is done, I'm returning to what I worked on before Saturday, namely: A quick WIP of the almost finished Trukk. The krew fit in smoothly, though I had to rebuild some joints to get the poses right, especially on the driver. All that's missing is a bit of decorative pelt (mullet helmets ) and then the model is ready for painting. Still doesn't help me with the squad's Nob. Yes, I want the bloody codex now. I want to say really nasty, obscene things about GW by now. How hard is it to release a codex? Seriously... Anyway, as mentioned above, I have six Deffkoptas and I have Centurion siege drills. It's time to introduce them to one another. The drills are spearated to fit into right arm and left arm fits, so I can even mark out the two squads of three koptas without actual unit markings, just by off-centric placement of the drills. Three left, three right. Should be subtle enough to not get noticed casually, but will help me keep squads separate might get done today, which is somewhat important because tomorrow I will own a squad of ten Flash Gitz, which I haven't since their upgrade to nob status in 2008 (I will admit my old Flash Gitz weren't very flashy, though, nor very finished by the time the new codex came around). Truthfully, I don't think I can fully assemble them until the codex. I just don't trust the WD rules to be complete, or how every option they have. I don't know if I actually want a squad size of ten, or just eight or nine, I don't know if I want to keep a snazzgun for my Warboss, should he get the option, I don't know if I can stick a Mek or Painboy in the unit, et cetera et cetera. I'm feeling the urge to say ungentlemanly things about GW again. So I'll just leave it at that and say I'll probably assemble a handful of them to to a point to test the customizability of the kit, but I won't finish assembly or put paint on them before the end of the month. Which should leave me with time to get the koptas painted and then progress to the Stormboyz. I always wanted Stormboyz, but when I played Orks they were half metal (yeah, half, because that is even more awkward than full metal...) and when the plastic models were released, well, I already said it before, I don't like the balancing on scenery look of jump troops. These guys may take a lot of work as I'm not just going to stick a rokkit on their backs. They will need straps, armor plates, fuel tanks and the like. And since I have a good handfull of Assault on Blackreach Orks (sixteen? Eighteen?) that is likely to take a while to do.

Update time! It's almost embarassing to have an update on the same day, but much to my own surprise I spent more time with the Trukk and actually finished it: I'm so speedy, I'm creeping myself out...

What size base does it come with? And is it a round or oval base? Thanks.

It's the newer GW oval base that also comes with the Imperial Knight.
165mm long, 105mm wide.

Thanks, and is it fitted cross ways or lengthways on the base, looks are deceiving in the photos!
