Cheers The Sgt (the very first conversion) now has a beret as well... it not only makes his head look a bit bigger (so he fits in better with the rest) but it also means he can salute now

Here is the squad of my converted Squats all together: ... and after a spot of luck on Ebay, I managed to get some proper plastic Squats (20 on the sprue!). Unfortunately, two of them didn't have heads so I needed to make them: As you can see, there is a difference in size and proportion so I will be using the proper Squats as a heavy weapon platoon with self propelled, heavy weapons (with stowage space for equipment and personal weapons). I am thinking of using the little gun-drones from Anvil Industries: www.anvilindustry.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=114&product_id=313... another diversion...

Beauties. Have you ever made any video tutorial - or would you consider doing it now!!!!! One of the things I always find extremely hard (read: impossible) is getting the surface so smooth - spill the beans mate, how on earth is that done!

Hmmm... video tutorials... I must admit that I haven't thought about it. I am not sure how I'd go about it but I'll look into it. When it comes to getting smooth surfaces, it is just about keeping your sculpting tool moist and continually reworking each area. Hmmm... In another completely random change of direction... I decided to save a few pennies and make my own mobile weapon platforms. I found some Epic landraiders, some Imperial Guard heavy weapons and some plastic bricks and have got this far in the WIP: I have another six to build but they are likely to be a mix of heavy bolters and missile launchers (or just heavy bolters)... I have also started building the Warlord. This is a very early WIP:

Cheers The trouble is that I have sort of... stopped. So in a bid to keep my hand in, I decided to paint a plastic dinosaur Here's some comparison: here's another pic: I was quite surprised at how a simple paint job can transform these tacky little dinosaurs... and I got 12 for £1.00
