The grass has been done! I made it! Just disappointed about not getting the spawns and daemon prince done. So watch this space for them!

So now the meet is done I can do more of this army if and when the mood takes me. I will be updating with more pics of all the current units with their bases complete.
Current models I have that weren't used but to be painted are the 2 chaos spawns, deamon prince, a big unit of possessed (which I need to finish building), Dark Vengeance chosen and cultists.

You'll be seeing a few more blogs appearing too. As I have a few Ultramarine units to finish, along with Malifaux and Warmachine. Just at a more relaxed pace, was freaking out towards the end to get this army painted up!

Apparently, a certain amount of stress is good for you . Ultramarines? Really? You have such a unique chaos army... I'd have thought you'd have made up your own chapter rather than being totally vanilla... I guess that sometimes it is good to get back to basics

Ha! It was the other way round. I started the Ultramarines originally when I started the hobby when I was around 14, well before I knew the background. I saw in my first issue of white dwarf a battle between the Ultras and Eldar and thought that is what Space Marines were painted like. Since finding out the fluff I stuck with them through an imprinted sense of loyalty. If I knew then what I know now I'd like to think I'd have gotten Black Templars.

Well at least you have to be a proper commander rather than having all sorts of special rules to make things easier . To be a good leader, you have to be able to win with what you have and not rely on gadgets and gizmos

There's only one more base to be done, the Heldrake's. I pinched another fly base for the meet as I want to try and do something different and a bit of fun.
Other than that I have a couple of Spawns and Deamon Prince to do (that I didn't need during the meet). Then as a slight expansion I have some Possessed and the Dark Vengeance Chosen and Cultists that might get done eventually.
But my 40k enthusiasm is dwindling rather massively now. So this thread may well not get updated for a while, instead expect to see more Lizardmen, Deadzone and Dropzone Commander next year.
