Ok so had my daughter and granddaughter staying for the weekend and time being so precious with them the snow on the bases has not been done yet. It will be done tomorrow and I will have pics of the completed unit/ January pledge by tomorrow night's (extended) deadline... On to February then: This month I will be building and painting a doomwheel (£20.50- this was sent to me in an SWC secret santa about 4 years ago and I never got round to building it so if the kind SWC member who sent it to me is still around then I want to say thanks again ) and also the warlord Queek Headtaker (£11.00) which I found in the box of Skaven I was given. February's budget was £30.90 (90p saved from last month) and I will be `spending` £31.50 overspending my budget by 60p leaving my budget for March at £29.40. Pics of doomwheel/ Headtaker progress soon along with completed clanrat and warpfire thrower pics... FK

Finally got the unit of 20 clanrats and warpfire thrower painted. I will give them a quick spray with some matt varnish to take the small amount of shine off them but for now this is a good as they get, oh and also: these 20 clanrats will eventually be part of a unit at least 40 strong, hence no command group done yet... Dirty rats! They look great. You only need a movement tray.

I was thinking about movement trays the other day. What's the way of doing them you going for? All enclosed or back open?

Movement trays, for my Ogres I have some trays closed and some open ended, that way I can have larger units by combining trays. A mix of both is good of you plan ahead for sizes and numbers.

I have no idea from a practical point of view having never played fantasy (well one game a long time ago) but from an aesthetic point of view I intend to have scenic bases with unit fillers and `things going on` (vague yes, still planning (or scheming I suppose is a better phrase for my army...)
