I think it's safe to say go with what the rules say, what's not allowed has been quite specific even ruling out fortifications which now seem to be part and parcel of 40k armies these days. If it wasn't clarified at least a week or two before the meet saying something is not allowed at this point could really throw a spanner in the works for someone who's spent ages planning certain lists. I'd love to be in the finished and all planned out camp. Might be luck and finish off stuff just in time. If not can always be the brew boy ... Lol ... I do make a lovely cup o' tea.

I've gone with the assumption that special characters are only allowed in the 2000 point list, I hope this is right!

You can use 3 different armies if you like Orks in 2k marines in 1k5 and tau in 1k for example. Special characters - no restrictions just remember this isn't a GT or a Ranking torni. It's just for fun. Yes I was in bed Oh and and I haven't planned my lists yet either....

Oh I only play for fun, only reason I ask is that my orks are predominantly a bikermob troops army led by Wazdakka who never works out for me and as a massive disadvantage is built on a CD sized base meaning he is easily swamped and killed in CC. No, my orkses are built for fun first and foremost, they enjoy a good scrap of course but the army was never built for competitive play...

Well old Waz usually never repays the points I spend on him but he has worked spectacularly well once or twice- most memorable was against a Necron army where he personally pulled apart 2 monoliths with his powerklaw amongst other things he killed that game!

Out of interest there's a requirement for 3 objectives but if I read the scenarios right we'll only need 1 in the games. Is this right?

I think the max number of objectives would be about 6, so if everyone has 3 each then shouldn't be a problem!

Yep! 5th Great Year, although with the inability of our Euro brethren to participate this year, through no real fault of their own I hasten to add, it's really an Anglo-meet with "proxy Euro participants!" HG

OK Grot Rebellion sub "Da Dred NoOrk" is now ready to arrive in a Random event! Gotta watch out for those sneaky Grots! Also got some metals done on the "Docking Drones" all 40+ of them! These will be on the docking station and available for hire as additional Krew by Kaptins docking there. HG
